About me

Part 1 Architectural Assistant

Graduate from the University of Westminster

Hi, I'm George.

I'm a Part 1 Architectural Assistant from North London.

Although it sounds like a cliche, I have always found that my passions sat within the field of design. Once I got involved in live projects and gained in-practice experience, I knew that architecture was right for me. I enjoy undertaking both group work and team leadership roles in order to approach the challenges attached to every architectural design stage.

Through my degree, live projects, and an extensive range of in-practice experiences, I have developed a passion for ethical design.

Between Voids

Harrow Campus

Year 3

My final third-year project focused on the connectivity between spaces via deployable elements within student accommodation at the UoW  Harrow Campus. The project investigates the transparency between space,  privacy gradients, and human behavior in order to understand and rethink how architecture may shape the well-being of students at such a unique point in their lives.

Botanic Hub

Harrow Campus

Year 3

My first project of the year investigated the behavior of students on the UoW Harrow Campus in order to create spaces that can fluidly connect and disconnect students from the busy campus environment. The project initially focused on landscaping and planting, before manifesting into a final

multi-functional botanic hub design.

Lost in Our Own Homes

Elephant & Castle

Year 2

My final project focused on the controversial developments occurring currently in Elephant and Castle.

The project aims to create a framework that impedes the momentum of commercial forces with a vernacular high street that can adapt to the needs of the marginalized local community at any given time.

Under The Skin

Mile End

Year 2

My first project of the year attempted to use architecture to create a ritualistic space for men as an experimental approach to contemporary mental health issues.

The project explored exposure and enclosure, discipline, and the ritualistic traditions of the Hammam.
